Don't let the rather bleak song title fool you, Nicole Dollanganger's new track, 'Angel of Porn II', is actually a rather beautiful sliver of alt-pop. Taken from her forthcoming album, Natural Born Losers, 'Angel of Porn II' ticks all the boxes we expect from an artist associated with Grimes' new label, Eerie Organisation, with sugary falsetto vocals and scuzzy knotted guitars entwining in perfect harmony. The VHS accompanying visuals are suitably off-kilter, too, with footage of some rather grotesque iced cream consumption taking centre stage. None of this should work necessarily, but it really really does. - DC
